How do you deal with unexpected situations?/ShutterStock

"This is life", so they say. It begins optimistically, growing up as an innocent girl, growing up, finding love, enthusiastically moving to a new apartment, starting a new job, dealing with countless "cases that are thrown at us" and living a routine life. Suddenly, like this one morning, we wake up to a different reality. Waking up in the morning to evil chaos that we thought even the most twisted mind could not have invented. October 7th.

Many years ago I was exposed to the "Prayer of Serenity" in a movie that I really don't remember the name of. Those who know her know that this is her formula:

God

,

give me the peace

to accept

the things I cannot change,

the courage

to change the things I can,

and

the wisdom

to distinguish between the two.

When I was exposed to her, I realized why it is relatively easy for me to deal with unexpected changes in my life. Because even without knowing her, she probably knew me deeply. The deep insight that there are things I could do to change, compared to those who... 'no matter what I would like to happen - won't happen'. just no. Not because I'm not capable but because reality is stronger than me. This insight gives rise to the ability to take what is there and find a way to cope. Even if I don't know how, trust that the solution and the way will come if I just keep looking. There is no challenge that does not have a solution, even if the solution is to humbly accept reality, cry a little, grieve a little and move on.

As a graphologist, it is very important for me to learn about how the writer deals with unexpected changes. Especially when it comes to the handwriting of candidates for intensive, pressing work, and with multiple options for last-minute changes. The employer must know if his potential employee has the ability to deal with unexpected changes and how he deals with them.

Let's look at different writings and understand from them how the writer copes:

Manuscript indicating a strong need for stability and certainty, for safe ground under one's feet/official website, Hana Koren Institute of Graphology

This manuscript maintains within it a number of notable characteristics: it "sits" on the basis of the line, clings to it and does not let go. The space between the letters is very small, each letter is attached to the one before it, the space between the words is very small and there is a very high regularity in most of the writing elements. All these are signs that indicate a strong need for stability and certainty, for safe ground under her feet, in the company of people on whom the writer can lean.

This writer "must" know what is going to happen, must feel full control over every step. Do we really have control or is it a sweet illusion? It seems to me that life tells us that we can plan and plan, prepare in advance and then, suddenly... someone laughs at us from above, rolls the dice and disrupts all the plans.

What happens when something goes wrong? It is likely that, due to the structure of her personality, she sets out after careful planning that includes contingency plans for any possible disruption, in her opinion. If indeed the change is within the framework of what she expected - she will experience moderation and out of great responsibility and seriousness she will invest every possible effort to cope. But when something completely different, completely unexpected happens....or then she can freeze her guard for fear of making a wrong decision, out of fear. These will silence her.

Another extreme situation:

The writing shows a lack of confidence in presence and the ability to deal with unexpected changes or pressures in general/official website, Hana Koren Institute of Graphology

This script is a "disintegrating" script. What does it mean to fall apart? This is the writing of a woman who has already lost her sense of stability and is overwhelmed with panic. A woman in such a situation will find it very difficult to deal with pressure systems and changes.

Her script is very small, very pale, the spaces between the words are very large and all these together show an effort to keep herself and reduce presence. The pallor and the minimal size of the writing show a lack of confidence in her presence and her ability to deal with unexpected changes or pressures in general.

Between the two extremes I described above, we find the writers who have the ability to choose how to respond to changes: on the one hand, they are aware of what is happening, know that it is necessary to make a change, but are in no hurry to make it. They think, exercise self-criticism and are able to make informed and calculated changes.

In their writings we find a degree of flexibility but alongside it we find signs of restrained criticism. The flexibility will be expressed in the form of slightly changing letters depending on their position in the word and/or the links, if any, to other letters. It was found that the word does not sit heavily on the base of the line but that the letters have a base that changes slightly. We will find a slight fluctuation in all the different components of the script, however, the script will appear as a fairly harmonious and homogeneous unit.

An example of this:

Others, get carried away with the changes impulsively without the will or ability to exercise restrained self-criticism. They "send antennas into the air", pick up everything that passes by them, find it difficult to remain indifferent and simply get carried away by gut feelings, emotional reactions, intuition.

They will have very "open" and unstable writings. There will be a lot of white in writing - the white in writing is a product of not writing, a time that allows a person to observe, dream, think, fantasize but also - absorb what is happening around him.

This is how you can find and reinvent yourself - just now

a fun routine or a solution? This is how you will find out how much you need a routine

Plans? There always is. Changes? always will be. The question is whether we would prefer to argue with reality or find a way to live within it, promote ourselves, promote our plans and yet - flexibly and with a smile while understanding that anger, insistence, clinging, struggle with what cannot be changed - does not promote, does not help, does not Solves problems but only creates anger, frustration, pain and distress.

Where are you on the scale? Feel free to comment.
