The Grok chatbot from xAI, the Elon Musk-led company and OpenAI competitor, will be made available to more users later this week. The announcement came from Musk himself via a post on 102 euros per year.
It is not yet accessible for residents of the European Union. Previously, early access to Grok had been limited to Premium Plus members, which compared to the basic plan also allows you to write longer articles and scroll through the board without ads. The company behind the chatbot, xAI, open sourced its Grok-1 model in mid-March. Just a couple of weeks earlier, Elon Musk had sued OpenAI and Sam Altman, accusing them of having abandoned their mission as a non-profit organization to only follow the business directions of Microsoft, its main investor. Musk was an early supporter of OpenAI and funded its early operations, before abandoning the company due to differences of opinion.
In the recent lawsuit, the entrepreneur claimed that OpenAI is developing generative artificial intelligence "to maximize profits for Microsoft, rather than to benefit humanity." In a clip on social networks and tweets that comment and spread news.
