Relief for the Hallbergmoos local and traditional association: After the position of chairman was vacant for six months, a successor has now been found.

Hallbergmoos

– Who will take over the “inheritance” of Karl-Heinz Zenker? This question remained unanswered for several months. The long-time chairman gave up his position at the head of the Hallbergmoos local and traditional association in August 2023 due to illness. His deputy, Anna Kreilinger-Pitters, took over the acting management. At the annual meeting, the collective sigh of relief was audible when a successor was found in Oliver Gebauer (52).

In 2023 the club celebrated its 150th anniversary

Anna Kreilinger-Pitters gave a brief report on the club's past year, the highlight of which was the 150th anniversary of the club's founding in June 2023, which emerged from the Hallbergmoos Warriors and Soldiers' Association. With the collection for the care of war graves and the ceremony on Remembrance Day at the war memorial, the local history association continues to maintain this heritage. But socializing wasn't neglected either: the monthly get-togethers and the summer party are fixed dates for many members.

Heidi Gruber presented an exemplary financial report - before the entire board finally announced their resignation. For tactical reasons: In the future, the first chairman and the other board members do not want to be elected separately from each other, but on a common date.

New chairman has big goals

The “old” club boss had successfully completed the search for a new chairman in advance without much fanfare. Oliver Gebauer, 52 years old, has lived in Hallbergmoos for over 30 years and is currently a student of history and political science. “A stroke of luck for an association that is dedicated to regional history,” as press spokesman Josef Moos emphasizes. In his presentation, Gebauer emphasized his primary goals of getting more young people interested in local history and getting them to participate (report follows). The average age of the club's members is 67 years.

The election of the other board members was unspectacular and unanimous: the first chairman was elected secretly, all other positions were filled by acclamation. At Gebauer's side, Anna Kreilinger-Pitters acts as deputy, Anita Morasch is the new cashier, and Josef Moos remains the secretary. The assessors Ludwig Enghofer, Rudi Schäfer and Erwin Vogl were also members of the old board. Anita Meyr and Karl-Heinz Zenker complete the team. Wolfgang Niedermair remains the auditor, Elfriede Hippele is new. The fact that almost all offices were elected with the votes of all members present shows those responsible: the “old people” have done a good job. With the new people you rely on their expertise.

The honors
