The Government expanded the complaint against
Alberto Fernández
and other former officials for the official insurance scandal by detecting, on this occasion,
a new "broker" who operated with 27 policies
that covered different assets of the then
Ministry of Education for a total amount of $600 million pesos.
The presentation was made by the authorities of the Ministry of Human Capital, within the framework of the case "Fernández Alberto and others on abuse of authority" and other alleged crimes substantiated by federal judge
Julián Ercolini.
Previously, the official survey had detected the producer
Castello Mércuri,
ultimately
the largest private contributor in 2019
to the then presidential candidate of the Frente de Todos.
But in this case he found policies from Nación Seguros where

appears as an intermediary .
According to the insurance sector sources consulted, it is a "market" agent, with
good ties to unionism
, but who would not be related to the main brokers mentioned at the beginning of the scandalous case.
But according to official sources, this production company acted as an intermediary
in 27 Nación Seguros policies, issued during the years 2022 and 2023, in favor of the educational portfolio.
The insurance was contracted to cover "various contingencies" related to the aforementioned institution, such as funerals, works of art, automobiles, real estate, among others,
for a total amount of 600 million pesos.
Now Justice must investigate
what commission the detected broker charged.
A source from the insurance sector consulted warned that what the file should also elucidate is the difference between "how much money they collected in prizes during these years versus
how many claims they paid" for the policies made.
"There could be scandalous numbers there," he estimated.
The documentation was found in an internal audit of the Ministry of Education, which is part of the ministry led by
Sandra Pettovello
.
For weeks now, the official has been carrying out various searches in search of irregularities, not only with official insurance, and that is why she recently reported alleged fraud with payments to early childhood centers that Judge Ariel Lijo is now investigating.

In the case of the policies in which

appears as co-insurer , vehicles such as Ford Mondeo, Focus or Peugeot 408 were insured. The Government warns that in this case they managed to find documentation with the letterhead of Nación Seguros - the company of Banco Nación which by a 2021 decree unifies all the coverage of official organizations - but in other agencies they found "ballots" or other annotations.
The scandal with official insurance, revealed by

last February, continues to offer new chapters.
Last week it emerged that
Héctor Martínez Sosa
, the
broker
friend of Alberto Fernández, acted as an advisor during the management of
Matías Lammens in the former Ministry of Tourism.
The authorities of the current Secretariat sent documentation to Judge
Ercolini
in which the husband of the former president's secretary,
Ana María Cantero
, intervened in
twenty policies
to cover different contingencies of that organization.
