The Berlin actress Grit Boettcher has not been seen in public for a very long time.
Her daughter tells how her well-known mother is doing.
Munich – Actress Grit Boettcher (85) became best known as the partner of Harald Juhnke (†75) in the award-winning ZDF sketch series “A Crazy Couple” (1977-1980).
Now things have become suspiciously quiet around her.
Her daughter now explains why her famous mother retired.
After a successful career: Actress Grit Boettcher is completely withdrawing
Whether on the theater stage or on television, Grit Boettcher was considered a German audience favorite for decades.
She had her artistic peak particularly in the 60s and 70s.
She was also seen several times in the “Dream Ship” and the “Black Forest Clinic”.
Roles in television films and series followed from time to time until the 2000s, such as “Immerwieder Sonntag” (1993-1996).
However, for several years now we have hardly heard or seen anything from the Berliner.
As her daughter Nicole Belstler (61) says in an interview, her mother hardly leaves the house anymore.
Boettcher's daughter, who is also an actress, tells the magazine
Das Neue Blatt
about her mother's health.
In it she says: “Nobody has to worry about mommy.
She's fine.
And I pray to God that it stays that way for a long time.” Grit Boettcher will be celebrating her 86th birthday in just a few months.
In 2023, she said in a
dpa
interview that she doesn't look into the past and doesn't think about the future.
As a child she attended a ballet school and as a teenager she worked as a model.
Acting lessons and first stage roles followed.
In addition to Berlin, she also played theater in Munich, especially in the Little Comedy at the Bayerischer Hof.
Family shared apartment is the focus for actress Grit Boettcher
The reason for the social withdrawal is, among other things, the death of her long-time actor colleague and friend Wolfgang Rademann (†81), who is considered the inventor of the ZDF series “Dream Ship”.
Since his death in 2016, Grit Boettcher has not been seen often in public.
“She misses him terribly.
He left a gap in mom’s life that can no longer be filled,” says Nicole Belstler.
He is said to have made her a star.
The two were friends for 56 years.

There should even be current role offers for the 85-year-old.
She rejected one outright, her daughter said.
She's still thinking about the other one.
She has actually “done everything, seen everything, experienced so much” in her life and now only enjoys her life within her own four walls.
Since the Corona pandemic, the family shared apartment has been the center of her life that she no longer leaves - at most for gardening, the daughter admits in the interview.
