, in early April, Meghan Markle would not feel “guilty when it comes to Kate Middleton”. According to him, Prince Harry's wife even believes that her sister-in-law should have supported her more in the face of all her difficulties within the British monarchy. For Meghan, he further explains, Kate was, like her, a piece of the Windsor clan, and should have understood her better than anyone. The Duchess of Sussex not understanding “why she always followed the royal line” instead of taking her side.
After the announcement of Kate Middleton's cancer on March 22, Meghan Markle would nevertheless have been deeply upset. However, “she sees no possible way back,” continued the royal expert. And added: “Kate's cancer diagnosis was a real shock to Meghan, but with their relationship becoming so toxic, she sees no way to repair it.” The latter would thus always think that “Kate was wrong and that she should apologize”. Meghan and Harry still expressed their support to Prince William and his wife, after the announcement of the illness: “We wish health and recovery to Kate and her family,” they declared in a press release.
Prince Harry “torn”
Still according to Tom Quinn, Prince Harry, who had always maintained good ties with his sister-in-law, would be “torn” by the situation. “He misses their relationship, but he is torn between his loyalty to his wife and his friendship for Kate, to whom he was so close.” As a reminder, the quarrel between Meghan and Harry and William and Kate crystallized in 2020, after the former's departure for the United States, and their shock interview with Oprah Winfrey. The couple had notably accused the Crown of racism towards their first child, Archie.
