It is rare for Charlize Theron to go to high-profile events with her children. The actress made an exception to her usual fashion during the Dior fashion show, which was held at the Brooklyn Museum in New York on April 15. To discover the French Maison's Fall 2024 collection, its muse came to sit in the front row with her daughter, August. For the occasion, the 7-year-old girl put on her most beautiful Dior socks and wore a blue and white bomber jacket embroidered with the letter “C”. Her mother appeared in a sober black long-sleeved top and a long beige skirt, black glasses screwed on her nose.
This visit to the Dior fashion show was one of the stages of a mother-daughter stay at The Big Apple, which Charlize Theron documented on her Instagram account. On the program: giant milkshake, visit to the World Trade Center memorial and discovery of the Statue of Liberty, among others. “We came, we saw, we did everything. NYC you were a treat!”, commented the actress in the caption of her publication.
Charlize Theron adopted August in 2015, in the United States. The South African actress was then already the mother of Jackson, now 11 years old, adopted in South Africa in 2012. It was alongside her eldest that the actress attended the Dior fashion show during of Paris Fashion Week last September. A few months later, she spoke to

about her relationship with her daughters. She then recounted having taken her little August to the Taylor Swift concert, while Jackson had preferred to see the film of the singer's tour with friends. “Yes, she doesn’t want to do that kind of thing with me anymore,” she then confided. She's like "Mom, drop me off at the mall, please, please!"
