The Tel Aviv District Planning and Construction Committee announced today (Mon) its decision to entrust the plan of the Hajaj Group to build a new and prestigious hotel in the marina in Herzliya. The hotel is expected to include 365 guest rooms, a conference center, a restaurant that will be open to the public, a spa and pools. The committee determined in its decision that the hotel will not be able to rent vacation apartments.
The plan, drawn up by Rani Zis Architects, covers an area of about 11 dunams in a vacant lot in the area designated for hotels on the beach in Herzliya Pituach, and includes an area for hotels, open spaces and an urban square near the waterfront of the marina.
As part of the Hajj Group's plan, two towers with a height of 7 floors and 11 floors above 2.5 commercial floors will be built. The plan increases the building rights from the approved plan that began in the complex, from 10,000 square meters to 51,000 square meters to match the height of the building to the nearby "Oceanus" and "Ritz Carlton" hotels.
The plan combines the strengthening of beach tourism near water sports centers, and the revitalization of the public space in the marina area by creating promenades and an urban square in a stepped building in the style of an amphitheater. The committee aims to encourage walkability around the hotel for the benefit of hotel guests and passers-by in the marina area, as well as to direct commercial facades Activity to the public space.
The chairman of the Tel Aviv district committee, Eran Nitzan: "The plan expresses the position of the district committee which supports and works to promote hotel programs along the coast line and within the marinas. The plan for the hotel also works to improve a promenade, a public square and a frontage of restaurants along it the public space".
Tel Aviv District Planner at the Planning Administration, Erez Ben Eliezer: "Promoting plans for hotels on the first line to the sea is a welcome and important step in a long-term view and days of routine. This is a significant plan to strengthen the marina area for both tourism and trade needs while establishing binding instructions for buildings of architectural quality ".
