M 6 viewers got into the habit in the spring of following the amorous wanderings of hardened singles, ready to marry a stranger in “Married at First Sight”. But what happens once the camera is turned off? While only two couples formed in eight seasons are still together today, the 6play platform has decided to focus on “life after”, in a spin-off show available from this Monday, April 15. Ten episodes in which fans will be able to rediscover the adventures of the only two marriages maintained but also of divorcees ready to find love again.
In addition to Matthieu and Laure, from season 5 in 2021, and Pauline and Damien, from the 2022 class, this new salvo focuses on Cécile and her daughter Anissa, emblematic characters of the fifth edition whose life currently revolves around the animals, but above all on a trio of singles: Alicia from season 6 as well as Léa and Jefferson, whom viewers got to know last year, she with Emanuel, he with Pedro. And it is on these three colorful characters that this program is mainly based.
A great success
Because the three divorced people are determined to enjoy life and find love again during a road trip. “We thought he would be behind a curtain… Why wouldn't he be in Barcelona? » laughs Jefferson during a call with her friends. But reality TV means twists and turns. And Léa is no longer alone. The lucky one is called Chris and is none other than a participant in “Married at First Sight”… who the public has never seen. This forty-year-old had in fact been chosen, with an 80% compatibility with his future wife, and preferred to give up the experience before the end.
Between the humor of the trio and the love of the two couples formed, crowned by a second pregnancy in progress for Laure and Matthieu, this “afterlife” will allow fans of the Six program to fill the wait between each episode Monday evening. And even if the Cécile-Anissa duo is a bit of a task, the whole remains very friendly, carried by endearing and very emblematic participants of the program.
