Despite the growing rift with the Israeli government and concerns about a military offensive in Rafah, in recent days the Biden administration has authorized the transfer of billions of dollars in bombs and fighter jets to the Jewish state. The Washington Post writes it. The new packages include 25 F-35 jets for $2.5 billion and more than 1,800 2,000-pound (900kg) MK84 bombs and 500 500-pound (225kg) MK82 bombs, according to Pentagon and State Department officials. The 2,000-pound bombs have been linked to previous mass casualty events during the military campaign in Gaza.
