Over 32 degrees between Sicily, Calabria and Puglia; more than half a meter of 'red' snow above 1,600-1,700 meters in the Alps: these are some of the effects of the Scirocco winds that will characterize the upcoming Easter holidays.
This was underlined by Antonio Sanò, founder of the site 'iLMeteo.it', specifying that "in the next few hours we will rise to 4 degrees above the average for the period, on Saturday to 8 degrees and finally for Easter to an incredible +12". In the north, Sanò specifies, the Scirocco will color our skies yellow, ocher or orange, carrying a lot of 'Desert Sand' to high altitudes: the flakes, together with the Saharan silt, will give the new snow cover a color between pink and red, the well-known phenomenon of the 'Red Snow'".
In particular, the forecasts indicate, in the next few hours, good weather in the Centre-South, some more thickening in the north with possible phenomena in the north-west, snow above 1500 metres.
On Saturday the weather will worsen further from the morning between Piedmont, Valle d'Aosta and Upper Lombardy due to a disturbance from Spain: heavy snowfalls are expected with over half a meter of fresh snow in these regions. The bad weather during the day will also affect Liguria and, in the evening, Upper Tuscany.
Sunday 31 March,
Easter and the first day with summer time, will see the passage of frequent showers from west to east over the northern regions; in part, the central regions between Upper Tuscany and northern Marche will also be affected by greater instability, while in the south we will have summer conditions with over 30°C and dry weather. Easter Monday, at the moment, finally seems decidedly unstable, once again, in the north; Even in the centre, between Tuscany, Lazio and Sardinia, there will be no shortage of showers while in the Alps a lot of snow is expected as if it were Christmas.

In the north: worse with showers especially in the north-west; lots of snow in the Western Alps. In the center: sunny, worse in the evening in Upper Tuscany. In the south: good weather and warmer.
Sunday 31st
. In the north: showers from west to east, snow in the Alps. In the centre: rain in Upper Tuscany, variable elsewhere.
In the south: good weather and summer heat.
Trend: Easter Monday with thunderstorms from the north towards Tuscany, Lazio and Umbria, over 30°C in the south. Weather improving everywhere from Tuesday 2 April.
