Many people who want to lose weight are looking for effective and healthy solutions. With the tried and tested cabbage soup diet you combine both.
There are numerous options and offers to lose weight. Thanks to some you can actually lose weight in the medium and long term, other options are more associated with a yo-yo effect. Ultimately, everyone has to find the right path for themselves. Some people swear by 16:8 intermittent fasting or a celery diet. Others rely on shakes and juices to replace meals to lose weight, such as carrot-ginger shake, apple-ginger-cucumber juice, cucumber-celery-pineapple juice and lemon water.
Even with a cabbage soup diet, it is said to be possible to lose around eight kilos of weight in a week. However, experts recommend making the diet and recipe as varied as possible and adding other foods to cover the body's protein needs.

Cabbage is very healthy because it is rich in vitamins such as vitamins C and E as well as minerals such as potassium and calcium. The cabbage soup diet is considered low in calories and fat, as white cabbage in particular only contains around 25 calories per 100 grams.

The cabbage soup diet is often scheduled for a week and is based on the principle: eat as much as you want when hunger arises. If you want to lose even more weight, you can extend it for another week.
Recipe for cabbage soup diet
(about four to five servings)
Ingredients:
1 white cabbage
1 broccoli
1/2 cauliflower
1/2 Romanesco
1 red pepper
1 kg carrots
1 stick of celery
5 red onions
5 tomatoes 2
tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon medium hot mustard
4.5 l vegetable broth (more if necessary)
rapeseed oil
Spices to taste: parsley, Chili, caraway, ginger, pepper and salt
Preparation:
Clean and finely chop the white cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli. Peel and dice carrots and onions. Clean and chop the peppers, celery and tomatoes. Chop parsley. Heat plenty of rapeseed oil in a large pot, add onions and sauté, sauté the remaining vegetables and deglaze with 4.5 l of water. Simmer for about 20 to 30 minutes and season with parsley, caraway, chili, ginger, salt and pepper. The prepared soup is enough for a few days.
To counteract nutrient and protein deficiencies, the soup should be supplemented with fish or chicken breast from around the fifth day. At the same time, it can make sense to enrich your diet from day 1 with some fruit, other vegetables, dairy products or potatoes to prevent cravings.
Cabbage soup diet: other foods are quite allowed
Supplement cabbage soup with other foods, for example:
Day 1: Fruit (except bananas, honeydew melon, plums and cherries).
Day 2: Vegetables (except corn, peas and beans) and a potato in the evening with quark or butter.
Day 3: Fruit and vegetables as per days 1 and 2.
Day 4: 1 banana with milk, skimmed milk or yogurt.
Day 5: around 200 to 500 grams of chicken meat.
Day 6: around 300 grams of fish.
Day 7: add two to three potatoes to the soup.
If you have some leftover from the large pot of cabbage soup, you can easily freeze it.
