Sebastián Liquín
, the 19-year-old young man who was hospitalized after falling from the 12th floor in the fire in his apartment, died this Friday afternoon in the Córdoba hospital where he was admitted to intensive care.
Liquin and one of his companions, Tiziano Tejerina (18), tried to escape the flames that consumed the apartment in which they were staying in the capital of Córdoba this Thursday. As the door was blocked by fire, both tried to escape through a window.
However, both fell into a lung of the building. Tejerina died instantly, while Liquín was admitted to intensive care at the Aguaribay hospital. He had suffered serious brain injuries.
Meanwhile, a third student, identified as Pablo Apaza (19), managed to escape by descending one floor to the balcony of the lower floor apartment, from where he was later rescued by firefighters.
The three young people had arrived in Córdoba a month ago to study at the National University of Córdoba. They were from Jujuy.
