The Nelson Depression continues to plague Portugal. Yesterday was particularly difficult, with extreme climatic phenomena which caused inconvenience and concern among the Portuguese, who however did not fail to witness the phenomena through their social networks.
In the afternoon a tornado occurred near the Vasco da Gama bridge, the longest of the two that connect the banks of the Tagus estuary in Lisbon. The strong wind also forced several planes landing at Humberto Delgado airport to reverse course.
But the Portuguese capital was not the only one to record rare climatic phenomena. The low temperatures, for example, caused unusual snowfall on Terceira island, in the Azores archipelago.
The bad weather, meteorologists say, will continue in Portugal at least until Easter.
