When you're feeling a little hungry you need a special snack idea, how about a sandwich on a stick? Milk rolls can also be enjoyed skewered.
The milk rolls on a stick are celebrated not only on the international “Something on a Stick Day” (March 28th). Regular sandwiches are a dime a dozen, so a little variety never hurts. Loose milk rolls that you remember from your childhood days are simply skewered and placed under the contact grill.

What ends up on the milk rolls can vary depending on your taste and there are really many options. Step-by-step instructions for uncomplicated milk roll sandwiches:
Halve both milk rolls and insert an ice cream stick into the bottom half.
For the savory version, spread the honey mustard on the bottom half of the bun and top with cheese, ham and tomato.
The other lower half of the milk bun is sweetly topped with banana slices and a piece of chocolate.
Place the lid on the filled halves and grill the milk roll sandwiches under the contact grill at a medium level for about three minutes. The snack with a stick is ready!
