“Betrayed” by Jussi Adler-Olsen: That’s what it’s about

Boxing Day 2020. Carl Mørck sits in handcuffs in the back seat of a police car on the way to Vestre Prison. After 15 years, an old case has caught up with him, and drug smuggling and murder charges threaten to destroy his life and career. More about the tenth volume here. For anyone who would like to get started with atmospherically dense crime novels from Scandinavia, volume nine of the “Natrium Chloride” series is also recommended. What the best-selling author was suffering from was not known at the time of the article (February 21).
