When Marina Kvaskoff enters a room, her warm smile and sparkling gaze convey natural enthusiasm. When the discussion begins with this 43-year-old epidemiologist, it is her determination that shines through: nothing can stop her. For years, she has devoted every day to research into endometriosis, a disease that has been forgotten for too long, even though one in ten women in France are affected.
It was a meeting with the Endomind association in 2016 that provided the spark. Faced with her, that day, were destitute and invisible patients: “I was struck by their distress and the total lack of response. » But how can we bring this disease to the forefront? In 2018, she launched a participatory research project: ComPaRe Endometriose.
