A 22-year-old young man died from his injuries on Tuesday April 16 after a violent attack in Grande-Synthe (North). The Dunkirk public prosecutor's office opened an investigation for "organized gang murder." A minor accused was arrested and placed in police custody, according to the first elements of the investigation communicated by the prosecution.

Investigations are continuing to "identify all those involved" and "clarify the circumstances of the commission of the acts. The victim, "unconscious", bore "several traces of blows, particularly to the face' and fractures, the prosecution said. According to a witness, the acts could have been committed by "at least three individuals.' The investigation was entrusted to the organized and specialized crime division of the interdepartmental service of the judicial police of the North.
