Authorities discovered more than 300 kg of cocaine in boxes left in the cargo area of Félix Éboué airport in Cayenne, Guyana. The drugs were discovered in boxes last Friday by the customs services in the airport area.

Two of the suspects had planned to take an Air Caraibes flight to Paris on which they had planned that their boxes filled with drugs would travel, detailed Outre-mer La 1re. One of the defendants has already been convicted twice for drug offenses, according to the public prosecutor of Fort-de-France. The defendants were indicted for importation of narcotics in an organized gang and criminal association, said Clarisse Taron, the public prosecutor of Martinique, Wednesday after noon. The investigation was entrusted to the Anti-Narcotics Office (Ofast) of Guyana under the authority of the Specialized Interregional Jurisdiction, based in Fort-de-France, said Taron.
