A school principal was attacked on Monday in Marseille by the mother and big sister of a student, after the latter was unable to participate in a school trip. A verbal altercation first broke out between the three women, then the older sister, aged 19, physically attacked the director, hitting her several times.

The victim was given two days of temporary work interruption (ITT), indicates the Marseille prosecutor's office. The mother and her daughter were taken into custody on Wednesday. They are still in custody Thursday, according to the prosecution. The boy attending the "CM1-CM2 class" at the Millière elementary school, in the 11th arrondissement of Marseille, had not been signed by his parents for the trip, confirming the facts reported by La Provence. The school principal intervened to try to calm things down; "the tone rose even more," explains the academy.
