The referee should have awarded a penalty to Brest, not whistled a free kick leading to a goal against Lyon. The head of French refereeing refused to allow anyone to doubt Mathieu Vernice's integrity. He said that Vernice is probably the most unhappy among us after the Lyon-Brest match.
