The Palestinian Football Federation (PFA) will call for sanctions against Israeli teams at the next FIFA Congress on May 17. The PFA, in a seven-page text, denounces a series of violations of the FIFA statutes by the Israeli Football Federation.

It will be one of the main points on the agenda of the 74th annual meeting of the world football body, in Bangkok, with the designation of the host of the 2027 Women's World Cup and a plan to fight racism. The International Olympic Committee has remained aloof from the conflict, sticking to the coexistence since 1995 of the Israeli and Palestinian National Olympic Committees (NOCs), a two-state solution adopted from the Oslo peace process and also adopted by FIFA. The IOC has refused to comment on the PFA's call for sanctions against the Israeli teams. The IOC has not commented on the call to sanction the Israeli team at the May 17 FIFA Congress, despite the fact that it is expected to be a hot topic.
