YouTube Shorts, TikTok rival's earnings increase - Future Tech. The short video service, a direct competitor of TikTok, now represents 25% of the revenue of creators who are part of the YouTube Partner Program.

The milestone comes just over a year after YouTube began sharing advertising revenue with creators who make Shorts. The figure represents significant growth for the platform, launched in 2021 and which introduced revenue sharing from 2023.
