"There were eight dead and 18 injured following Russian missile strikes on Chorniguv," the city's mayor said on Telegram. "Many injured," according to the governor of the eponymous region, reporting "dead civilians" and "many injured" in the city center.
"Explosive missiles and drones continue to rain down on Ukraine daily," the U.S. State Department said.
