Ukrainian forces detected 28 attack drones in the east and south of the country according to a senior army official. These raids, carried out with Shahed-136/131, Iranian-designed machines, are most often at night, to make them more difficult to detect.

Twenty-six of these drones which left the Kursk region in Russia and Cape Chaouda, in the annexed Crimean peninsula, were however shot down according to the Ukrainian air force. According to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kouleba, Russia fired 190 missiles and sent 700 kamikaze drones.
