Unemployment in MV is falling - tourism is bringing momentum. Only Berlin (9.6 percent) and Bremen (11 percent) had higher unemployment in March.

The unemployment rate in the districts of Ludwigslust-Parchim and Rostock, at 6.3 percent each, almost reached the value for Germany, which was given as 6 percent. In March, there were 16,750 open jobs available to job seekers in MV, 2,000 or 10.8 percent fewer than in March 2023.
