Unemployment fell slightly in March. The unemployment rate remains at 4.2 percent.
A year ago the rate was 3.8 percent. The reasons for the slight spring recovery on the labor market include, among other things, the weak economy in industry, especially in the construction sector. For the statistics, the Federal Agency used data material that was available up to December 13th. The decline this year was only about half as high as usual in March in Baden-Württemberg.
