Longest tunnel in Europe to test hyperloop technology has been inaugurated in the Netherlands. In a 420 meter tunnel the goal is Amsterdam-Barcelona in 2 hours.
The European Hyperllop Center hopes to launch the first connections of a few kilometers by 2030. Richard Branson, with Virgin Hyperloop, had also tried to follow the idea but after the first tests with 2 passengers in 2020 he then closed the project.. At the basis of hyperloop is the idea of making trains travel inside vacuum tunnels so as to eliminate air resistance.
