The future of the Pollinger Kinderhaus is uncertain because the community wants to reduce its support. The reason given was, among other things, the local council's austerity decisions.

The children's home in Polling, an integrative facility with currently 98 children in crèche, kindergarten, and after-school care, has been around for almost 50 years. Around 60 percent of the children come from the community of Polling and more than 30 percent of them come from Weilheim. The rest would travel from surrounding communities to Polling. The Diakonie München und Oberbayern, to which the children's aid facility in Polling belongs, sees a financial bottleneck and describes the future as "uncertain." For Mayor Pape, this is simply incomprehensible: "To claim that there are financial bottlenecks because we would stop our support is simply an impudence." "We also want to express how satisfied and grateful we are for the work that everyone in the children's home does every day," said the town hall boss.
