The number of unemployed people in North Rhine-Westphalia fell by a good 5,300 to around 740,000 people in March compared to February. The Federal Employment Agency announced on Thursday in Düsseldorf that the unemployment rate fell by 0.1 points to 7.5 percent.

According to the figures, the most significant decline in unemployment occurred among employees under the age of 25. Unemployment in the Ruhr area is still the highest at 10.1 percent. The lowest rate is in Münsterland at 4.9 percent.
