Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani wrote this on X after last night's attack in Iran. "Compatriots are safe," added Tajani in an interview with Rainews 24.

On the part of the EU and G7, there is "a diplomatic effort to de-escalation, we invite everyone to be cautious to avoid escalation in the area," underlined Tajani. At the moment, the operation attributed to Israel in Iran "seems to be concluded" and reiterating opposition to an Israeli attack on Rafah, in southern Gaza. "We will talk about it with the Foreign Ministers at the G7 session in Capri this morning," said Tajani, adding that at the moment "there are no critical issues for the Italians living in Iran." The attack in Isfahan left at least three people dead and more than a dozen injured, according to local reports.
