A refugee accommodation for 96 people is to be built at Wirthsfeld in Baierbrunn. The idea is that there would be space for three to four prefabricated houses there, and around 96 people could then be accommodated there.

The project will be discussed in detail at an information event for citizens on May 16th. However, the location was not entirely without controversy at the meeting. Anton Ley from the SPD said it was a "brainstormer" to "sacrifice" one of the only two properties owned by the municipality; it would then be blocked there for two decades. He also found it suboptimal that the area where Mitti will soon take place and where the sports and community center is located is not well developed. The Green Party representative Ursula Kuhn called the whole thing "tired." She made it clear that she had no capacity to work to ensure that the newcomers were well integrated on site.
