The loft apartment in the heart of Bat Yam's industrial area is used as a fashion boutique for men's clothing and as a photography studio. Interior designer Yaad Yosef is responsible for planning the unique space.

"The idea was to create an atmosphere, to tell a story non-verbally, and the special experience It starts already at the front of the street, which is full of garages and industrial buildings. It continues all the way up," says interior designer Liyad Yosef Shamon about the project. The loft apartment is about 95 square meters in size and is located in an industrial area of Bat Yam, Israel. The apartment is owned by Elad Gonen, a photographer and fashion designer in his 30s, who lives in the apartment with his wife and two children. The project was funded by a private donation from Elad and his wife's mother, his sister, Lina Yosef Shamon, who is also a fashion designer. "We gave a lot of thought to the definition of the functions; after all, this is a space that is used for living, for shooting fashion productions, and also as a boutique for men's clothes." "We chose not to install a permanent TV screen that would take up wall space, and in its place, we designed an overhead projector that was not visible to the eye. "The kitchen is open and very precise for the needs of a bachelor who doesn't often cook, and it is also an example of the use we made throughout this apartment of not necessarily expensive materials, certainly not 'fancy' which fits the lofty-industrial atmosphere we wanted to create." "There is a dining table that consists of metal legs and a walnut wood plate, and around it, we placed two types of chairs, some deep and comfortable for sitting and eating, and some with iron and wood stools, just like at a bar." "The walls as they are - we did not make any repairs to them and only painted them in a light shade to create a fresher look."
