A man in his twenties died on Monday in Saint-Aygulf (Var), after trying to flee on foot and while police officers were pursuing him for refusing to comply. The individual, who is very unfavorably known for similar acts, once again took all risks to escape arrest, a police source told Le Figaro Nice.

A bag of cocaine was found on him, another source told us. A victim of malaise and cardiorespiratory arrest, he died despite attempts to resuscitate him, a police source confirms. An investigation was opened by the Draguignan public prosecutor's office to clarify the exact causes of this death. The individual was caught by the police during this second phase; the young man then threw himself into the water at the so-called “petit Boucharel” beach. The police provided him with cardiac massage until help arrived, in vain, explained the deputy director of the municipal police. A week earlier, another refusal to comply had occurred in Saint-Aigyulf, a popular seaside resort.
