AFA treasurer Pablo Toviggino questioned the statements of Estudiantes president Juan Sebastián Verón. Daniel Scioli, head of the Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Sports of the Nation, wrote a disclaimer on his X account (formerly Twitter) to refer to the controversy.

Scioli showed his public support for the decree promoted by Javier Milei to promote the landing of Sports Joint Stock Companies (SAD) in Argentine football. Verón assured that he is looking for a hybrid club, where there are capital contributions but there are also non-profit contributions, to be managed as aNon-profit institution.
