When Hamas launched its deadly raid on the morning of October 7, 26 cancer patients from the Gaza Strip were in Jerusalem or Israel receiving treatment. Since then, most of them have completed their treatment and fear being forcibly returned to the devastated enclave along with their accompanying relatives.

Their fate hangs on a decision of the Supreme Court, which temporarily suspended their expulsion last Thursday but must rule within thirty days. Women, elderly people and three young children are among the patients whose treatment has come to an end.
