Federico Girotti was angry after Talleres were eliminated from the League Cup. The Córdoba forward targeted Pablo Toviggino and Nicolás Ramírez, the referee of the tie against Independiente.

“It seems that the thermoheads have an advantage here. They are angry that we are fine,” questioned the forward. The former River and San Lorenzo scorer also hit out at the AFA treasurer, who recently criticized Andrés Fassi, the president of Estudiantes de La Plata, and Juan Sebastián Verón, the vice-president of San Lorenzo. The AFA has warned that both of them will be left with their asses in the air if an intervention by the leader Daniel Scioli is carried out. The club is currently fourth in the table, one point behind second-placed San Lorenzo and one ahead of third-placed Cárdoba. It is the first time that the club has been knocked out of the competition.
