The channel issued Gal a warning letter according to which the contract signed with him binds him to the channel until the end of 2024. Gal (49) presented until about a year ago and for three years the news and current affairs segment at 17:00 on Channel 13 and later moved to present the edition on the main channel of Channel 14.
The 18:00 segment will be presented jointly by Arel Segal and Shimon Riklin, Channel 14 said. The channel tried to bring back the viewers who abandoned it last year, some of them to Channel 14; Gal was proudly presented at the channel's toast by the company's chairman, Nadav Topolski, and the news company held discussions regarding the nature of his inclusion in the broadcasts. In fact, just this week, Gal was proud to be included in Channel 14's coverage of the toast.
