The Simone-Veil hospital center, in Cannes (Alpes-Maritimes), was the victim of a large-scale cyberattack on Tuesday morning. The hospital was forced to cancel a number of surgical operations considered “non-urgent” and resulting in "no loss of opportunity." The same goes for consultations, which are postponed "until a return to normal.' The Grasse public prosecutor's office was contacted, and an investigation opened with the aim of tracing the author of this virtual attack.

On the night of February 10 to 11, the Armentières hospital center (North) was the victim of a similar cyberattack, leading to the temporary closure of the emergency room. Above all, some 300,000 patients had been affected by the cyberattack.
