Lavrov, for his part, thanked Beijing for the “support” given to President Vladimir Putin after his recent re-election. The head of Russian diplomacy arrived in China on Monday for a two-day official visit, the two countries seeking to strengthen their diplomatic relations at a time when Russia continues its offensive in Ukraine.
