An Algerian nationality and under OQTF, was the subject of what could have remained a routine check in Lormont, near Bordeaux, on Tuesday. The driver nevertheless refused to comply and engaged in a chase with the police.

He then ran away, leaving his car, the mother of his child, and their baby who were with him. In this vain race, the fugitive had dropped his driving license, which allowed him to be identified. He finally went to the police station closest to his home, in Cenon, in the hours that followed. He was driving with a foreign license that was not valid in France. The man was arrested and is being held in custody in Bordeux. He has not yet been formally charged with any crime in connection with the incident.
