22 students from Berg's French twin town of Phalsbourg were guests at Lake Starnberg. They were accommodated with 19 students from the Kempfenhauser country school home.

The young people had an extensive sightseeing program during their five-day stay. They took a city tour in Munich, looked at Nymphenburg Castle, the Olympic Park and the BMW World. They also paid a visit to Berg's mayor Rupert Steigenberger. He was pleased that contact with the sister city in Lorraine is so lively.
