A police officer was injured in Schiltigheim, in the northern suburbs of Strasbourg (Alsace), during an urban rodeo led by a 17-year-old teenager. A video posted on social networks shows the driver of a motorcycle hitting the injured agent at full speed.
Doctors noted multiple bruises on the police officer and suspect a broken wrist, we are told. The suspect was arrested a few minutes later and taken into custody. On social networks, many police unionists denounced the facts. “The thugs are not afraid of the police, they run over them if they can’t,” published the Synergie-Officers union on its Facebook page. “These images which follow one after the other are unbearable! 75 refusals to comply per day! How many deaths or injuries will it take to take the necessary measures in the face of this daily impunity?” wrote the secretary general of Alliance Police Fabien Vanhemelryck.
