A 30-year-old woman was arrested by the national police in Mérignac early Sunday morning after crashing her car into posts along the road. Drunk and under the influence of drugs, she also drove without insurance.

In police custody, the children's mother subsequently justified not having informed the police of their existence for fear that her children would be taken away from her. The Bordeaux public prosecutor's office, which took up the case, initiated proceedings against this woman for the acts of traffic crime. A second part of the investigation is also being investigated regarding his behavior which endangered the safety of his children. The father of the two-month-old infant was transferred to a hospital as a precaution, while his 2-year-old big brother was handed over to the father. The baby was dehydrated when he was found by emergency services and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The mother was arrested and placed in a sobering cell until the end of the afternoon. She also claimed to have lost track of time.
