French filmmaker Quentin Dupieux believes that it is time for him "to close (his) flap.' DupieUX has therefore declined any promotion before the release of his film The Second Act. The film will open the Cannes Film Festival on May 14.
The director and the actors will say nothing until then and prefer to let the film speak for itself. The Second Act is due to be released in cinemas worldwide on May 16, 2014. The French version of the film will be released on May 25, 2014, in the U.S. and on May 26, 2014 in the UK. The UK version will be available on May 27, 2014 and May 28, 2014 on Blu-ray and DVD. The US version will release on May 30, 2015, and May 31, 2015 on DVD and Blu-ray, and on June 1, 2015 and June 2, 2013 on DVD, Blu-ray, and June 3, 2013. The French version will also be available in UK cinemas on June 7, 2013 and June 8, 2013, and in the US on June 9, 2013.
