Two people died after falling into the sea in Muros de Nalón and Cudillero. A 16-year-old Moroccan minor fell into the water on the beach of Tarragona.
The Spanish meteorological agency issued an orange alert on the northwest coasts to warn of the dangerous seas. A body airlifted to Asturias was later found in the port of San Esteban. A 32- year-old German who was passing by tried to help him, but they both drowned.
