While the IMF evaluates reviewing surcharges, the Government passes payments of US$ 2,000 million by the end of the month. Minister Luis Caputo seeks to renegotiate that understanding.

Caputo travels next week to the Fund's spring meeting. Some directors asked to review the surcharges. The unification of payments was known in the midst of the discussion in the organization to review its policy on rates and surcharges for 2024 and 2025, a measure that could favor Argentina. The IMF's exposure to Argentina is expected to remain high, around US$40 billion through 2027, before beginning to reduce.
