James Howles mined 7,500 bitcoins as a hobby in the early days of Bitcoin. More than a decade ago he accidentally threw the drive in the garbage, now he is suing the municipality of Newport.
Howles is filing a lawsuit against the City of Newport in an attempt to obtain permission to search a municipal waste site. The digital currencies, as of today, are estimated to be worth over 525 million dollars, Howles predicts that the value of the coins will continue to increase until the end of the year.
