The Tax Authority has launched a campaign to sell special insurance for the contents of the apartment, as a result of a missile strike, a fire caused by war, or any other damage. The premium you will pay is 0.3%, double the premium you would pay to an average insurance company for theft and fire.

"Private insurance companies do not insure against war or hostile action and this is where we come in," says Amir Dahan, director of the Compensation Fund at the Tax Authority. "The compensation fund is actually the state's insurance company," adds Dahan.
