British airline Easyjet announced on Monday that it would suspend its flights to and from Tel Aviv. The low-cost airline is giving itself until April 21 before a possible resumption of traffic.

Easyjet had already canceled several flights to Israel on Sunday, including a rotation between London Luton airport and Tel Aviv, a company spokesperson told AFP. The German airline Lufthansa also announced on Sunday the suspension of its flights until Monday inclusive of Tel Aviv as well as Erbil in Iraq and Amman in Jordan, “in the context of the current situation” The company added that it had contacted customers on flights affected by these cancellations by SMS and email. The airline added that the safety and security of our passengers and crew are always Easyjet’s top priority,’ the company added, specifying that it has contacted customers in the affected area by email and SMS. The world awaits Israel's response to the unprecedented attack carried out by Iran on the night of Saturday to Sunday.
